The kit uses precision cut parts and a non-standard form of simplified construction to make alignment much easier. The all wood static model includes parts made from micro-cut Basswood, Balsa and Plywood, material for two lobster traps and three buoys, a display stand and even includes two cast metal lobsters. The kit does not include glue, tools, finishing supplies or paint but does provide a complete set of full size rolled plans and a thorough 64 page book that takes you step by step through the creative process. The finished model is 21-7/8"Long, with a beam of 7-5/8" and a height of 14-5/8". The scale is " to 1'. This is considered a skill level 3 kit in Midwest's Apprentice Series and is intended for persons with some prior kit building experience.
